TAHLEQUAH – The 24th Annual Northeastern State Athletics Golf Classic and Social raised $20,000 at an event hosted on Saturday, June 11, and Sunday, June 12 by Cherokee Springs Golf Club and sponsored by Cherokee Nation Businesses.

The two-day event featured a four-person golf scramble tournament, a social featuring a Katelyn Myers performance, and a live auction conducted by Jeff Baker on Saturday evening.  

Thirty-two teams participated in the golf tournament, which included three flights (flight winners listed below). This year's auction featured several rounds of golf from Northeastern Oklahoma Country Clubs plus hotel stays at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa and Shangri-La Resort on Grand Lake in Afton. Also presented at the live auction were tickets to Jason Aldean and Turnpike Troubadours concerts. Plus tickets to Carrie Underwood's Denim and Rhinestones Tour and a Jason Christie fishing tackle package, both of whom are Northeastern State University graduates.

Thanks to event organizers Meghan Mulcahy, Associate Athletics Director, J.J. Eckert, Head Football Coach, and Blake Berry, plus the unified support of all staff and coaches of the Department of Athletics.
