KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northeastern State Women's Soccer is picked to finish in sixth place in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), according to a preseason poll released on Friday morning by association officials.
In the poll, Northeastern State collected 66 points, with Central Missouri being the preseason favorite by the coaches with 121 points and 11 of the 12 first-place votes. Emporia State was second with 105 points and three remaining first-place nod. Central Oklahoma (93) and Missouri Western (75) rounded out the top-five.
Fort Hays State (61), Washburn (60), and Rogers State (43) made up spots seven through nine in the running order. Missouri Southern (30), Newman (22), Nebraska-Kearney (13) rounded out the final spots in the poll.
Northeastern State finished the 2021 season with an 8-8-3 overall mark and was 5-5-1 in the MIAA.
