History with the Bearcats

Northeastern State has not lost in seven consecutive matches against Southwest Baptist. Last season's meeting in Bolivar resulted in a scoreless draw; at home, RiverHawks are 7-0 when facing SBU. The series started with 13-nil thumping by NSU in 1996 during the team's inaugural season. In the overall series, the RiverHawks are 11-2-2 against Southwest Baptist.

Scouting the Bearcats

  • Despite its woes in the win column, SBU played Ouachita Baptist Sunday to a 1-1 match up to the 84th minute. Ouachita Baptist was picked to finish second in the Great American Conference and was edged 1-nil against NSU in this season's opener.
  • The Bearcats have 18 returners from its roster from last season.
