HAYS, Kan. –
Sam Maceli earned her first career top ten Tuesday, but the RiverHawks stumbled a spot on the leaderboard and finished tied for third place at the Lady Tiger Classic.
Maceli tied for sixth place, shooting a 154 (76-78), with 17 pars and five birdies.
Behind a 316 score on Tuesday, Northeastern State was overtaken by Rogers State for second place, with Nebraska-Kearney finishing even with the RiverHawks shooting a 633 at the Smoky Hill Country Club.Â
Nina Lee shot the low second round for NSU with a 77 and was tied for 14th place, carding a 157.Â
Yasmin Hang,
Aitana Hernandez, and
Hanna Lignell were all tied for 29th with matching 165 scores.Â
Central Missouri had the top-three individual finishers and claimed the team title with a 608, beating the second-place squad by 22 strokes.Â
Northeastern State will be off until October 10-11, when they will head to Western Washington for an invitational.Â
