ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – With one day in the books, Northeastern State holds a two-round total of 578 (284-294), good enough to tie with Central Oklahoma for second place so far in the Holiday Inn Express Classic at the St. Joseph Country Club.
The RiverHawks are seventeen strokes back from first-place Missouri Southern, who hold a comfortable lead going into the final day. NSU will have plenty of challengers for their spot near the top tomorrow, as second through seventh place are just separated by three strokes.
Gabe Replogle sits inside the top five after shooting a 139 (70-69).
Will Livermore will also have a chance to make a run towards a finish near the front of the pack Tuesday after placing just outside the top ten through two rounds, sitting tied for 11th with a 144 (72-72).
Parker Rose started the day strong with a 70 in the opening round, but shot a 77 in the second round for a 147 across Monday's action, which caused the senior to slip towards the middle of the rankings, as he currently sits tied for 28th.
Brett Wilcoxen finished the day with a 148 (72-76), while
Cole Waymire shot a 152 (75-77), respectively.
The Holiday Inn Express Classic finishes up Tuesday with the second and final day of action from St. Joseph.
