TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State snapped a three-game skid in their return to Jack Dobbins Field House Saturday afternoon handling Ecclesia 102-26 in non-conference action.
The contest is the first since 2013 and the 23rd consecutive win for the RiverHawks in their former home as they improve to 5-6 on the year. Northeastern State also hit the century mark for the first time since Dec. 30, 2018, with five players hitting double-figures, and sinking 17 triples.
Grace Abercrombie led the RiverHawks shooting 10-for-17 off the bench with 24 points and had four steals.
Halie Jones connected on her first five three-point attempts and had 23 points.
Aubrey Brown had her first career double-double with 15 points and 11 assists.
Madina Camara put up 15 points and
Courtney Lee had 13, both led the RiverHawks with seven boards.
Northeastern State led from the opening horn and never relinquished it scoring 11 unanswered. The lead for the RiverHawks ballooned between the quarters where Ecclesia went scoreless for over ten minutes allowing a run of 27 consecutive points for NSU.
Ecclesia shot 8-for-40 from the field and was held scoreless for the final five minutes in the exhibition game for the visitors from Springdale, Arkansas.
The RiverHawks return to action on Thursday hosting Northwest Missouri at 5:30 p.m. inside the NSU Event Center.
