Women's Tennis opens season at home

TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State women's tennis opens the championship section on their season this weekend, hosting Ouachita Baptist Saturday and Southeastern Oklahoma Sunday.

The RiverHawks are coming off one of their strongest fall seasons to date finishing 42-24 individually in singles.  Emilia Cosatto ranked 22nd nationally in singles after going 10-2 in the fall.  In her first semester at NSU, Roos Karremans won her final six fall matches.

In the fall, Northeastern State faced Ouachita Baptist individually head-to-head in Tahlequah and went 13-1 in singles.  Ouachita Baptist went 2-1 in doubles.  The Tigers are 2-1 to start the year with two NAIA sweeps and were swept last Saturday by Arkansas Tech.

Southeastern Oklahoma is 1-1 to start their season and will face Delta State in Dallas Friday.  Alisha Moldakhmetova was the lone NSU player to face Southeastern in the fall.

Scoring for both matches can be found a GoRiverHawksGo.com/coverage.
