TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State men's golf opens its spring season Monday with the Rattler Invitational hosted by St. Mary's at Dominion Country Club (Par 72 – 6,937 Yards) in San Antonio, Texas.
The 12-team event features: St. Mary's, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Simon Fraser, Cameron, Missouri Southern State, Northeastern State, West Texas A&M, Texas A&M International, UT Permian Basin, Lubbock Christian, Dallas Baptist, and Wayland Baptist.
Monday will see the teams play 36 holes with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m., followed by the final round on Tuesday morning. The RiverHawks are paired with Dallas Baptist and UT Permian Basin for their opening two rounds.
The RiverHawks finished in seventh at the Rattler Invitational last season and have made 17 visits to San Antonio previously. Its lone team win came in 2003, and they had claimed medalist honors twice in 2003 (Eric Moore) and 2006 (Brad Risenhoover).
