TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State will play Southeastern Oklahoma for the third and final time Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference tilt in Durant.
The RiverHawks will be looking to prevent a season sweep by the Savage Storm after dropping a 5-1 result in Hot Springs to start the year. Last week, Southeastern cranked out nine runs in the second inning and handed NSU a 15-0 loss at Pryor High School.
Southeastern (6-5) lost two-of-three last weekend at home against No. 2 ranked Southern Arkansas and are 4-3 this year in Durant. The Savage Storm are batting .300 as a team and have swiped 31 bags.
Northeastern State (5-5) took a series win over William Jewell at Thomas C. Rousey Field this past weekend. The RiverHawks are batting .301 as a team, with
DeClaudio Irvin tied for second among MIAA players with 17 RBI.
The RiverHawks have dropped four straight in Durant, with its last win being on Feb. 8, 2020.
First pitch Tuesday in Durant is slated for 2 p.m.
