Emilia Cosatto earned her fifth win against a nationally ranked foe. However, the sophomore was the lone NSU player to take a victory Sunday afternoon in a 6-1 home setback to Missouri Western.
The #10-ranked Cosatto bested the Griffons' #60 Anya Chavez 6-1, 6-2 in the top singles spot.
Northeastern State dropped a pair of three-set matches at the bottom of their lineup as they fell to 6-4 (1-1 MIAA).
Missouri Western earned its fourth consecutive win over NSU, went 3-1 this week against ranked foes, and moved to 10-3 (3-1 MIAA).
The RiverHawks will be on the road this upcoming week and will visit Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday.
