TAHLEQUAH – Central Missouri scored runs in the first five innings to take a series win over Northeastern State, 13-6, on Monday afternoon.
The regular season series home loss for the RiverHawks is the first since UCM took two of three in May 2021.
Northeastern State would have three balls leave Rousey Field with
Ty Van Meter,
Drew Miller, and
Kademon Graff all slugging homers. Miller scored three of the RiverHawks' runs in his third start of the season.
The top of Central Missouri's lineup set the tone, and its top two batters reached base ten times. John Prudhom, the third batter in the Mules' order, took advantage and had a six RBI day with two no-doubt homers.
UCM (12-6, 5-1 MIAA) out-hit the RiverHawks 15-to-9 and left nine runners on base.
Brayden Rodden would throw to Mule runners out on stolen base attempts.
Korrdell Jiles (1-2) went four innings and threw 101 pitches as the RiverHawks dropped to 9-8, 3-3 MIAA.
Northeastern State heads to Washburn next to open a three-game series with the Ichabods on Friday.
