NSU Men's Golf leads MIAA Championship

BOLIVAR, Mo. – Northeastern State is the clubhouse leader after the opening round of the MIAA Men's Golf Championship Monday, holding a three-stroke lead on the par-72, Silo Ridge Country Club.  

The RiverHawks shot a 289, with Gabe Replogle tied for first overall, shooting a three-under 69.  The junior was red hot out of the gates firing off five birdies on the first eight pins.  Replogle is tied with two others for the medalist lead. 

Christian Yanovitch shot an even 72 with three birdies and was tied for fifth place.  Brett Wilcoxen was a stroke back of him, tied for seventh.

Carlos Gomez and Ryan Morant were tied for 17th place overall shooting a 75. 

Missouri Southern and Washburn are tied for second place, shooting a 292; the RiverHawks will be paired with them again on Tuesday for round two starting at 11:30 a.m.
