TAHLEQUAH – NSU women's tennis makes its tenth consecutive postseason appearance Friday where they will see Central Oklahoma in the MIAA Tournament Play-In Round.
The match will be played at Edmond Center Court at 4 p.m., with the RiverHawks being the No. 4 seed in the tournament holding a 5-3 MIAA mark. UCO is the No. 5 seed with an identical record, but Northeastern State held a tiebreaker for a 6-1 win in the regular season.
Northeastern State has faced UCO four times in the MIAA postseason, the last being in the 2022 Quarterfinal when eight teams qualified.
The RiverHawks are 25-9 all-time against its in-state rivals, with Central winning four of the last five matches.
Friday's winner will advance to the Semifinal Saturday to face top-seeded Northwest Missouri at 10 a.m.
