TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State closes its MIAA regular season this weekend, where they will face Newman for a three-game series starting on Friday.
The RiverHawks (19-24) and Jets (21-26) are tied for the Association's six seed for the upcoming MIAA Tournament with 13-17 MIAA marks. Neither team can advance upward in the tournament standings, with Central Oklahoma holding a three-game lead. The pair has a two-game lead on Emporia State as the first team outside looking inward for the tournament, with the top-eight teams advancing to a best-of-three series hosted by one of the top-four seeds.
Sunday's game will be Senior Day at the ballpark, with the program honoring seven student-athletes. Those being honored at 12:40 p.m. are

Kademon Graff,
Lee Callison,
DeClaudio Irvin,
Brayden Rodden,
Kender Carroll, and
Seth Key.
C.D. White comes into this weekend's series with a nine game hitting streak, and
Brady Evans has an eight game streak. Freeman is nine hits away from 300 and has the seventh most across all active players in NCAA Baseball. He is eighth in doubles with 61.
First pitch Friday is slated for 5 p.m., with Saturday's game at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
