TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The Northeastern State University Director of Athletics John Sisemore announced June 12, 2023 a ten-year, $15 million "Fuel the Flock" scholarship campaign to fully fund scholarships for NSU student-athletes.

"Our student-athletes play a significant role in advancing Northeastern's academic mission. They help bring alumni together, gain national recognition, and attract new students, Sisemore said. We want to create a sense of pride within Northeastern State, Tahlequah, and our surrounding communities. By fully funding athletic scholarships the department will be positioned to achieve national success."

As part of the Fuel the Flock scholarship campaign, a new website, www.NortheasternStateAthleticFund.com has launched. The website shares the NSU story and emphasizes the significance of providing financial assistance to NSU athletics programs. Supporters can assist specific teams or contribute to a priority project such as new sports startup funds.

"While our number one priority is to fully fund each program's scholarships to the maximum allowable according to the NCAA, modernizing our athletics facilities is also essential to recruiting and retaining the best student-athletes, Sisemore added. Our goal is to provide student-athletes with first-class amenities to maximize their potential while remaining fiscally responsible in the process."
