History with the Jets (1-4-1)
The RiverHawks hold a 13-1-1 lead in the all-time series against Newman. Last season's 2-2 draw on Sept. 16 in Wichita, Kan. ended a nine-match winning streak that spanned nearly two decades, though NSU rebounded to win the rematch on Oct. 21 in Tahlequah with a 4-nil victory. Newman's lone win over Northeastern State came on Sept. 29, 2004.

Scouting the Jets
- This week's match in Tahlequah will be Newman's third away from Wichita. They previously played two contests in Pueblo, Colo., where they took a 2-1 loss to CSU-Pueblo on Sept. 8, before being dealt a 7-nil setback against then-#23 Colorado Mesa on Sept. 10.
- Newman enters this week's action with one of the lowest-scoring offenses in the MIAA, with just four goals across six games to tie for 9th in the conference. They've been shut out in two of their last three.
- The Jets had their first taste of competition in 2023 against MIAA opponents last week, taking a 5-nil loss to Central Oklahoma on Thursday, Sept. 14, and drawing in a 1-1 affair with Rogers State on Sunday, Sept. 17. Both were played in Wichita.
- Newman was picked to finish in 12th place in the MIAA standings.

Fast Facts
- Fran Badillo, Lauren Parton, and Alexis Rodgers will all look to replicate their success from last season's meeting against Newman in Tahlequah. The trio accounted for three of the team's four goals in a 4-nil thrashing of the Jets. Across the contest, NSU outshot their opponents 23-2, with a majority of NSU's attempts (13) being on-goal.
- Last season's 2-2 draw in Wichita on Sept. 16 marked the first time since 2019 that Newman scored against the RiverHawk defense. The Jets have been shut out in eight of their 15 meetings with NSU.
- Except for the COVID-shortened 2020 season, the RiverHawks have faced the Jets in their non-conference finale every year since Newman joined the MIAA for women's soccer in 2019.

History with the Bronchos (2-2-2)
Northeastern State has faced Central Oklahoma 36 times previously, with the Bronchos holding a 23-9-4 series lead. Last Sunday, the RiverHawks claimed their first victory in Edmond since Oct. 26, 2018 with a 2-1 triumph. They now will look for their first regular season sweep and home victory against Central Oklahoma since 2017.

- Central will be traveling to Claremore, Okla. to face Rogers State on Thursday evening prior to facing Northeastern State.
- The Bronchos hold the highest-scoring offense in the MIAA six games in, with 15 goals to pace the field despite ranking just eighth in shots (66).
- The 2023 season is the final campaign for UCO head coach Mike Cook who started the soccer program 25 years ago.
- Central was picked to finish in fifth place in the MIAA standings.

Fast Facts
- Sydney Taylor's 10th-minute goal against the Bronchos during last week's match in Edmond was the quickest score for the RiverHawks against UCO since Early Villegas connected in the 5th minute for NSU on Sept. 27, 2009.
- In the most recent matchup against Central Oklahoma in Tahlequah on Sept. 11, 2022, Fran Badillo scored her first career goal in the 63rd minute. Payton Lieb also scored for the RiverHawks in the 75th, but UCO goals in the 54th and 84th minutes, respectively, allowed the Bronchos to force the 2-2 draw.
- Excluding the COVID-shortened 2020 season, the RiverHawks have faced the Bronchos on back-to-back weeks in September since 2019.

Coming Up
The RiverHawks finish their September slate of games on Friday, Sept. 29 when they go on the road to face Emporia State at 3 p.m.
