RiverHawks Close September with Top Three Result in Bartlesville

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Northeastern State wrapped up the Central Region Fall Preview at the Hillcrest Country Club Tuesday shooting a 303 in the second and final round, giving them a 600 across two days, good enough to take third place in the tournament. It is NSU's second straight week with a top-three placing and their third total across four tournaments in the fall.

The RiverHawks entered the day in third after shooting a 297 in the opening round. It landed them ten strokes behind tournament leader Henderson State and seven strokes back from Central Missouri in second place. While the RiverHawks were able to fend off Augustana, who entered the day just a stroke back from NSU, to remain in the top three, they were unable to move any further up the ladder.

A single stroke decided the top two spots, with a strong final day allowing UCM, who shot a 289 to finish with a 579, to pass Henderson State, who shot a 293 to end with a 580.

Yasmin Hang finished as the highest-ranking RiverHawk, shooting a 75 in the second round to bring her two-day total to 146, securing eighth place. It marks Hang's second top ten across her last three tournaments.

Meanwhile, Sam Maceli had the best day across the team, shooting a 71 in a seven-stroke improvement from yesterday's 78, to give herself a 149 and a 15th place finish.

Jessica Parker shot a 78 but was unable to maintain her spot in the top ten after entering the day tied for tenth. Her two-day total of 151 placed her in a tie for 20th at the tournament's conclusion.

Marybeth Bellnap shot a 79 to round out the tournament with a 154, while Ines Diaz added a 79 to conclude with a 165, respectively.

Women's golf will be back in action in the Tulsa Cup on Oct. 23-24, hosted by Rogers State.
