TAHLEQUAH -- The Northeastern State women's basketball preseason exhibition schedule will feature three contests against NCAA Division I foes as the team prepares for its second campaign under the leadership of head coach
Keith Ferguson.
The RiverHawks tip-off early and will travel to play the University of Arkansas on Friday, Oct. 18, at Bud Walton Arena. There is no charge for fans who attend the contest with free parking being available, tip-off with the Razorbacks is slated for 5 p.m. NSU's last visit to Arkansas was to start the 2017-18 season.
Nearly two weeks later, Northeastern State will visit Wichita State for the first time on Oct. 30 for a 6 p.m. tip. The RiverHawks will be the first team the Shockers will see this season.Â
The exhibition slate closes on Nov. 4 when the RiverHawks will kick off Oral Roberts' season with a school day game at 11 a.m. inside the Mabee Center. Â NSU's last visit to ORU came in 2011.
Northeastern State's official start to their season is on Nov. 8 with Southwestern Oklahoma. The contest is part of a new regional crossover classic with the contest being hosted by Rogers State in Claremore.Â
