ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Northeastern State was shut out for the first time this season as they lost a 2-0 contest Friday evening at Missouri Western.
The RiverHawks were limited to a season-low three shot attempts against the Griffions with one of those being on target.
Missouri Western snapped a four-match winless streak to the RiverHawks with a goal in the 69th minute off a deflection. They scored a second in the final 20 seconds of the contest to improve to 10-0-1 (6-0 MIAA).
Northeastern State falls to 8-3 (2-3 MIAA) and returns home next week to host Washburn on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.
