EDMOND -- Northeastern State moved up three spots and claimed an 11th-place finish at the Grace Shin Regional Preview on Tuesday. The RiverHawks were tied with Oklahoma Baptist and Southern Arkansas on the leaderboard with a 599 (302-297).
Ines Diaz slipped eight spots on the individual leaderboard to card a 143 (69-73) to take 11th. The sophomore came out of the gates on Tuesday shooting a four-over-par on the back nine but rallied back for an even score on the front. Diaz finished the 36-hole tournament with 27 pars good for third most overall.
Laia Llorens took 23rd overall with a 146 (74-72) and moved up eight spots on the leaderboard. She was even on the day until the final two pins where she hit a pair of bogeys.
Jessica Parker made the largest gain on the leaderboard and moved up 22 spots to claim 59th place on a 152 score (79-73).
Sam Maceli had a 158 (80-78) and was tied for 88th.
Fernanda Rendon Bermudez shot a 164 (82-82) which put her in 107th.
Central Missouri claimed the team title by shooting a 573 with Paige Hoffman of Northwest Missouri and Harding's Pilar Martinez sharing medalist honors after carding a 138.
The RiverHawks will return to action next week for the Newman Fall Invitational in Andover, Kansas.
