TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State closes its regular season on Wednesday with its shortest trek of the season to Claremore to face Rogers State at 7 p.m.
The RiverHawks (12-5, 6-5 MIAA) have already clinched a spot in the MIAA Women's Soccer tournament and will be on the road for the opening round. A win or draw would slot Northeastern State as the No. 5 seed with a loss dropping them to No. 6.
Rogers State (3-11-3, 2-6-3 MIAA) will be playing their season finale and upended Fort Hays State on Sunday afternoon 2-1. The Hillcats have won two of its four previous matches heading into Wednesday's contest with NSU.
Northeastern State will be carrying a three-match scoreless streak into Claremore and have eight shoutouts. In the series history, NSU trails 2-3-3 and has not won in four visits to Rogers State.
