TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State's C.D. White claimed two national weekly baseball honors Wednesday. D2Baseball Insider, an online digital magazine covering NCAA Division II baseball, and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association named the Owasso native as its National Hitter of the Week. 

The senior is the first NCAA Division II baseball player to earn honors from both publications and was the MIAA's Athlete of the Week. 

White recorded an MIAA-high 10 hits and 14 RBI as the RiverHawks went 4-0 last week. The senior was just a home run short of the cycle with a 4-of-5 performance in the box with seven RBI against Southern Nazarene in the first game of a doubleheader at home. In the nightcap, White's first at-bat was a homer while he ended the game with five RBI, going 4-for-4 at the plate.  

White had a hit in all four games for the RiverHawks and slugged 1.235 at the plate with a .556 on-base percentage.
