FORT SMITH, Ark. – Jessica Parker shot a 77 to pace the RiverHawks in the abbreviated Hardscrabble Invitational on Tuesday. Northeastern State took seventh carding a 325 and was in the middle of the field shooting a 45-over par score.
The RiverHawks scorched the 13-team field with a 3.36 scoring average on par 3s but struggled on the par 4s shooting a 4.88 average, third highest overall.
Parker claimed her second career top-5 with two birdies and nine pars. The sophomore has finished in the top 10 in four of NSU's events this season. Marybeth Bellnap was one stroke behind Parker and claimed a 13th-place tie, her season's best finish.
Sam Maceli shot an 83 and was tied for 30th overall, Yasmin Hang and Ines Diaz carded 87s and were tied for 51st.
Harding claimed the team championship shooting a 313 and beating Midwestern State by five strokes. Henderson State's Allie Bianchi and Redland Community College's Clara Peake were tied for medalist with 71s.
Northeastern State will travel to Phoenix, Arizona on April 5-6 to play in the Palm Valley Classic.
