TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State Women's Tennis opens its eight-match MIAA schedule this Saturday were they will travel to face No. 29-ranked Missouri Western.
The RiverHawks (5-3) has won seven of its ten MIAA openers and dropped two of its previous three on the road. Missouri Western is 9-1 to start the season with five match sweeps. In their most recent match to Southwest Baptist, the Griffons held a 4-3 match edge, which was the same result the RiverHawks had with SBU.
Valeria Teran is ranked No. 72 nationally in singles, while
Andrea Vargas has won her previous six matches.
Northeastern State holds a 14-4 series lead over Missouri Western with the Griffons winning the previous four matchups.
First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. in St. Joseph.
