TAHLEQUAH - Director of Athletics John Sisemore announced Monday that registration for the 26th NSU Golf Classic & Social has opened. The Northeastern State University Athletics Department is set to host the annual golf outing on June 22nd at Cherokee Springs Golf Club in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. New to 2024 is the Golf Ball Drop Raffle with a $5,000 grand prize.
The annual Golf Classic is a major fundraiser supporting all ten NSU Athletics varsity teams as well as our cheer and pom squads. Your contribution as a sponsor or participant directly supports NSU Athletics in our mission to deliver a world-class and comprehensive student-athlete experience.
Event Information
Saturday Golf: 11 a.m. shotgun start
Saturday Social: 5:30 p.m. (dinner, music & auction)
Format: Saturday Four-Person Scramble
Entry Fee: $500 per 4-some or $150 per individual
Social Only: $25 per person
Prizes/Contests: $1,500 Grand Prize & cash prizes for 2nd and 3rd, Putting Contest, Hole-in-one, Longest/Straightest Drive, and Closest-to-the-pin

Golf Ball Drop Raffle
Numbered golf balls will be dropped above a target from a helicopter, crane, cherry picker, or fire truck. The closest ball to the target will win $5,000 and the furthest ball from the target will win $2,500. Support your favorite team or the area of most need from the sports listed. Your preferred team will receive the amount from this fundraiser applied to their individual sport account.
