Women's Golf tied for fifth in Spring Debut

EDMOND, Okla. – Ines Diaz shot a career-low round of 74 and is tied for ninth place following one round of play at the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invite on Monday.  Northeastern State is tied for fifth place overall shooting a 28-over, 308 in their spring debut. 

Diaz cared an even score through the back nine and landed a pair of birdies.   Yasmin Hang shot NSU's second-lowest score with a 75 and is tied for 11th overall.  

Marybeth Bellnap had a 79 and is tied for 31st place, Sam Maceli was a stroke back over her and tied for 35th.  Jessica Parker had an 84 and placed tied for 56th place. 

The RiverHawks are tied with Southern Nazarene and four strokes back of Central Oklahoma for third place.  Southwestern Oklahoma holds a seven-stroke lead shooting a 287.  Oklahoma Christian's Sofia Benavides is the medalist leader with a one-under, 69 score. 

Play concludes on Tuesday for the final round with the RiverHawks paired with Oklahoma Baptist and Southern Nazarene.
