MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. -- Northeastern State finished a two-round day one with a 567 (289-278), enough to rank fifth in the 18-team ladder Monday at The Showdown at Shangri-La.
As a group, the RiverHawks finished with an event-high 122 pars, while their second round score of 278 ranked second-best among participating squads.
Cole Waymire led all NSU players with a 140 (72-68) effort across the first two rounds. The showing places the freshman in a tie for ninth place among all individuals. Not far behind and just outside the event's top ten is
Gabe Replogle, who sits tied for 12th after shooting a 142 (73-69)Â on the opening day.
Meanwhile,
Will Livermore put together a solid day on the course with a 143 (74-69), placing him in a tie for 15th.
Brett Wilcoxen finished Monday's action with a 145 (70-75), enough to rank in the top 25 among individuals and
Parker Rose finished with a 147 (75-72) entering the final day.
The event wraps up tomorrow with the concluding third round.Â
