TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State Women's Tennis closes out its home slate this weekend with Emporia State on Sunday and a Monday date with Newman.
The RiverHawks (7-6, 2-3 MIAA) have won four consecutive matches on their home court. Sunday's match with Emporia State is Senior Day where the program will honor
Alisha Moldakhmetova who has been with the program since the fall of 2021.
Monday's match was moved from Saturday due to potential rain in the area and will serve as the season's home finale.
Moldakhmetova will enter her senior day with 27 singles wins and 29 victories in doubles. The fifth-year player has played four different spots in the NSU lineup in her three seasons.
Emporia State (5-9, 1-4 MIAA) will be at Central Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon before traveling to face the RiverHawks. Northeastern State holds a 9-2 series lead over the Hornets.
Newman (12-9, 2-3 MIAA) is scheduled to play Central Oklahoma before facing the RiverHawks. The Jets won its lone visit to NSU in the 2022 season with Northeastern State holding a 3-2 series edge.
