BOLIVAR, Mo. – Northeastern State slipped to second place after two rounds of the MIAA Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday but remains in the race sitting four strokes back of the lead shooting a 609 (303-306).
The RiverHawks turned in an 18-over-par and trail Central Missouri who moved up two places on the leaderboard. Nebraska-Kearney had a 615 and carded the low round on Tuesday (295) to make up the top three teams on the leaderboard.
Yasmin Hang and
Marybeth Bellnap had the low round for NSU with 75s. Bellnap is tied for fifth place shooting a 152. Hang is one back of her tied for eighth place.
Ines Diaz is the top NSU player on the leaderboard and is tied for third place with a 149 (72-77). She is two strokes back of the lead after starting the day from the top spot.
Jessica Parker slipped 13 spots on the leaderboard and is tied for 17th with a 155 (76-79).
Sam Maceli had a 166 (84-82) and is tied for 38th overall.
The RiverHawks will be paired with UCM and UCM for the final round on Wednesday which starts at 10:06 a.m. Northeastern State will be playing for its fifth MIAA crown and first since 2019.
