Women's Golf set for 22nd NCAA Postseason

TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State Women's Golf makes its 22nd NCAA Appearance Monday, vying for one of three spots to advance to the National Championship.

The RiverHawks are one of nine teams in the field after earning an at-large bid into the Central Regional.  NSU has made the National Championship ten times, the last being in 2021.

Last season, Yasmin Hang claimed Central Region individual honors and advanced to the NCAA National Championship.  She was the first NSU golfer since 2015 to move on individually to the finals.

Teams will play at the Hillcrest Country Club, a par-72, 5814-yard course from May 5-8 in Bartlesville.  The Head Golf Professional at Hillcrest Country Club is Northeastern State alumni John Hron.

Northeastern State finished in third place on the course this past fall, with its most recent time at Hillcrest being the 2021 MIAA Championship where the RiverHawks took fourth.  The top five finishers in the 2023 preview are in the nine-team field.

NSU will field a five-person team with Marybeth Bellnap, Ines Diaz, Yasmin Hang, Sam Maceli, and Jessica Parker traveling.
