TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State women's soccer returns to the pitch this fall in their 15th season under head coach Chase Wooten. Half of the team's 18 matches will be played at Dr. Dan DeLoache Field in Tahlequah, while twelve overall will be contested across official MIAA play. 

The team begins the regular season schedule on Sep. 6 on the road against Great American Conference (GAC) foe Ouachita Baptist in Arkadelphia, Ark. More non-conference meetings with opponents from the GAC follow, with the team's home slate beginning with Harding on Sep. 8. and continuing with Oklahoma Baptist on Sep. 11.

Two of their final three non-conference matches are away from the NSU campus, featuring trips to Alva, Okla. to face Northwestern Oklahoma (Sep. 15) and Joplin, Mo. to battle MIAA opponent Missouri Southern (Sep. 22). The team's first regular season meeting with East Central since 2016 occurs in Tahlequah between the pair of road clashes on Sep. 20.

The RiverHawks begin the official MIAA side of the season against Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo. on Sep. 27 before ending the month in Maryville, Mo. against Northwest Missouri on Sep. 29. The team alternates weeks at home and on the road throughout the duration of association action, seeing home encounters with Missouri Southern (Oct. 4), Pittsburg State (Oct. 6), Washburn (Oct. 18), Emporia State (Oct. 20), Fort Hays State (Nov. 1) and Nebraska-Kearney (Nov. 3).

NSU goes on the road to meet Missouri Western (Oct. 11), Central Oklahoma (Oct. 25) and Newman (Oct. 27) during October, while their regular season finale commences in the first week of November in Claremore, Okla. against in-state rival Rogers State (Nov. 6). 

The RiverHawks will look to extend a streak of appearances in the MIAA postseason that has surpassed a decade, as Wooten's teams have reached the tournament in every season since 2012.
