MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- Northeastern State shot a 317 on the second round at the 25th NSU Golf Classic at Muskogee Golf Course to end the two-day event in ninth place with a 612 (295-317).
The team's total across the concluding round ranked 15th among competing teams, causing the RiverHawks to drop five spots after entering the day ranking fourth in the 19-team tournament.
Ines Diaz led the way among individuals for NSU, placing 18th with a 149 (71-78).
Jessica Parker had the most productive Tuesday with a 77, matching her score from the previous day and finishing with a 154 (77-77).
Sam Maceli (155) and
Fernanda Rendon Bermudez (156) finished one and two strokes back from Parker, respectively. Laia Lorens added a 159 (75-84).
Rogers State held on to the top spot from Monday to claim victory, carding a 573 (284-289) as a unit. Arkansas-Fort Smith (582) finished nine strokes back in second, while Harding (590), Henderson State (595) and Southwestern Oklahoma State (596) made up the rest of the top five.
The RiverHawks travel to Kearney, Neb. for the MIAA Preview in two weeks, hosted by Nebraska-Kearney at Meadowlark Hills Country Club from Sep. 23-24.
