TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State closes out non-conference play this week where they will host East Central on Friday and then makes a trip to Joplin on Sunday to play Missouri Southern.
The RiverHawks are seeking their first 5-0 start since the 2018 season and enter the week as one of 13 NCAA Division II programs that have not allowed a goal.
All four of NSU's wins have come against Great American Conference foes and they have beaten its two favorites in Ouachita Baptist and Oklahoma Baptist.
Northeastern State's offense is 18th nationally with 18 shots per game. Whitney Gentry and Olivia Kucharyski pace NSU with three goals, the pair accounted for the team's offense on Sunday in a 3-0 win at Northwestern Oklahoma.

History with the Tigers
- The RiverHawks have not faced the East Central since 2016 with the series controlled by NSU 16-2-2. At home, Northeastern State holds a 9-1-1 series lead over the Tigers.
Scouting the Tigers
- East Central is 1-3 to start the season and suffered 1-0 losses last weekend to Pittsburg State and Angelo State.
- The Tigers were picked to finish in last place in the GAC and average 8.8 shots per game.

- Missouri Southern is 0-2-2 to start the week and host Midwestern State on Friday afternoon. Sunday's contest with NSU is scheduled to be Southern's Senior Day.
