WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Northeastern State wrapped up play at the Midwest Classic on Tuesday, finishing 11th overall in the 14-team field at Mules National Golf Club.
The RiverHawks posted team rounds of 315, 307 and 321 for a 54-hole total of 943 on the par-70 layout.
Maria Ruiz and
Boh Greenwood led the way for NSU, tying for 11th individually at 222 (+12). Ruiz carded rounds of 73, 72 and 77, while Greenwood matched her teammate with scores of 72, 75 and 75.
Talya Samir followed with a 243 (+33) in her return to the lineup, while
Laci Fravert (263, +53) and
Laia Llorens (268, +58) rounded out the scoring for the RiverHawks.
Central Missouri claimed the team title with an 871 total, led by medalist Ellen Spigner of Arkansas Tech, who finished five-under at 205.
The RiverHawks will close out their fall season Oct. 20–21 at the Central Region Preview, which will serve as the final tune-up before spring competition.
