Men's Soccer faces Fort Hays Sate in GAC/MIAA Tournament Thursday

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The RiverHawks will make their sixth trip to the GAC/MIAA Tournament this Thursday, vying to help their cause for an NCAA postseason berth.  Northeastern State (8-7-3) claimed the No. 4 seed and will face top-seed Fort Hays State, which concluded the regular season undefeated for the first time in program history (15-0-3).

In the most recent NCAA Super Region 3 rankings, the RiverHawks came in seventh overall, with ten teams earning a bid.  Those rankings did not include a setback to Southern Nazarene last week and a draw to Newman on Saturday.

Northeastern State has earned an NCAA postseason berth six times previously, with its last appearance being in 2014.

Carter Adams finished the regular season ranked second in the GAC/MIAA with nine goals.  Despite being limited in playing time and appearing in 11 matches, Martin Martinez is seventh overall with 1.91 shots per game.

Thursday's winner will face the Rogers State / Newman winner on Saturday, with all three matches being hosted by Fort Hays State.
