TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Northeastern State University men's soccer earned multiple postseason honors as five RiverHawks received All-Great American Conference/Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (GAC/MIAA) selections, and seven were recognized on the GAC/MIAA Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Wednesday.
Carter Adams and
Carl Murch headlined the honors with First Team All-GAC/MIAA selections. Adams, a sophomore forward from Edmond, Oklahoma, powered the RiverHawks' attack with consistent offensive production throughout the season with nine goals. Murch, a senior midfielder from Shrewsbury, England, earned the award in his final campaign after anchoring the midfield and serving as team captain.
Ethan VanDusen, a junior defender from Owasso, Oklahoma, earned Second Team recognition for his strong defensive play, while freshman defender
Kash Dunkel (Owasso, Oklahoma) and junior goalkeeper
Cameron McColloch (Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) received Honorable Mention honors.
In the classroom, Northeastern State also excelled, placing seven student-athletes on the GAC/MIAA Academic Honor Roll, presented by Conway Regional Health System. Honorees include:
Northeastern State will face Fort Hays State on Thursday afternoon in the GAC/MIAA Tournament Semifinals at 3 p.m. in Hays, Kansas.
