Northeastern State Cruises Past Ecclesia 102–59

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Northeastern State reached the 100-point mark for the second time this season, rolling past Ecclesia 102–59 on Monday night. The RiverHawks never trailed, building a 59-30 halftime lead and controlling the game on both ends.

NSU (4-1) set the tone immediately, opening the game with a surge and piling up 59 first-half points behind 21 made field goals and 34 fast break points. The RiverHawks logged 30 assists on 38 made field goals and buried 12 three-pointers while shooting 54 percent from the field.

Five players reached double figures, led by AJ Reed's 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including a pair of threes. Reed also handed out seven assists and grabbed four rebounds in just 18 minutes. Nehemiah Weber added 11 points, while Jaxson Vandegarde and Xavier Glenn matched each other with 16 points apiece—Vandegarde doing it with steady drives and Glenn drilling three shots from beyond the arc. Freshman Dylan Tea chipped in 13 points off the bench, including three threes, and helped NSU's second unit pour in 48 points overall.

The RiverHawks dominated the glass with a 54–33 rebounding advantage, repeatedly turning Ecclesia's 14 turnovers into easy runouts. Ethan Blackmon was a force inside with eight rebounds and two blocks, and Koen Derry added nine points and four boards in an efficient reserve outing.

Ecclesia (0-6) was led by Christian Ford's 20 points, but the Royals struggled to keep pace after NSU's early burst and shot just 32 percent from the floor.

Northeastern State now turns the page quickly, hitting the road for a Wednesday matchup at Arkansas Tech. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.
