INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The NCAA announced its second regional rankings, and Northeastern State men's soccer landed at No. 7 on Wednesday.
This marks the second time NSU has appeared in the Super Region 3 rankings this season, following the release of the first alphabetical list last week.
As the rankings stand currently, Northeastern State would play the No. 10 seed Saginaw Valley (Mich.) in the opening round of the tournament. The two teams have played just once in 2012 in the NCAA National Quarterfinal.Â
The RiverHawks are looking for their seventh NCAA postseason appearance in program history and first since 2018.
Northeastern State closes out its regular season on Thursday evening with Rogers State and then Newman on Saturday evening.Â
