Women's Soccer faces Pittsburg State in MIAA Tournament Quarterfinal

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The Northeastern State women's soccer team punched their ticket to the MIAA Tournament on Sunday and will be going in as the eight seed.

The RiverHawks (11-6-1, 6-5-1 MIAA) wrapped up the regular season by defeating Rogers State 1-0 at DeLoache, but were not able to climb to a higher seed due to Central Oklahoma beating Newman 2-0 and Emporia State drawing 1-1 to Washburn.

Sydney Taylor finished as the leader of the MIAA in game-winning goals, having six in 18 games played. She also tied at second with Washburn's Leah Henke in goals scored with nine.

This is the fourteenth consecutive year of NSU's MIAA Tournament participation, as the winner of this game will face either 4th-seeded Missouri Western or 5th-seeded Northwest Missouri.
