TAHLEQUAH – Three members of the Northeastern State football team earned their second All-American nods of the cycle as the 2025 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America Team was announced Thursday. Cornerback Marvelous Owens and tight end Cam Woods earned Second Team selections, while punter Mo Foketi was an Honorable Mention.

Woods secured his fourth career All-America honor, the most by any player in program history. The senior finished the 2025 season with 835 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 17 yards per catch. He recorded a pair of 100-yard performances across his last three games of the season, while he exploded for a 200-yard, three-touchdown showing against West Florida on Oct. 4.

Owens emerged as one of the nation's top defenders, totaling seven interceptions, the most in a season for an NSU individual since 1988. Owens also recorded 11 pass breakups, including a season high of four against McKendree on Nov. 8.

Foketi netted a program record in yards per punt (45.3), breaking a mark that stood since 1979. 13 of Foketi's 31 punts for the season traveled at least 50 yards, highlighted by a long of 71 against Saginaw Valley State in the season opener.

The RiverHawks concluded the season with a 9–3 overall record, their most wins since 2000. NSU also logged their first postseason win since 1999 with a 56-21 triumph over East Central in the inaugural First Americans Bowl on Dec. 6.
