TAHLEQUAH, Okla. —
Xavier Glenn scored 23 points to lead Northeastern State to a 105-73 victory over Missouri Valley on Wednesday night at the NSU Event Center.
Missouri Valley opened the game on an 8-0 run, but Northeastern State quickly settled in and responded with a surge of its own, taking a 44-31 lead into halftime. The RiverHawks pulled away after the break, outscoring Missouri Valley 61-42 in the second half.
Northeastern State shot 56.9% from the field and connected on 13 of 22 attempts from 3-point range. The RiverHawks also received 45 bench points in their third game this season scoring 100 or more points.
Glenn recorded his second consecutive game with at least 20 points and his fifth such performance of the season.
Nehemiah Weber added 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc, while
Harry Neilson chipped in 14 points off the bench on a flawless 6-of-6 effort from the floor.
Dylan Tea finished with 11 points and
Jaxson Vandegarde added nine as Northeastern State built its lead to as many as 32 points in the second half.
Devin Davenport led Missouri Valley with 21 points, while Antwon Ferrell scored 15. Missouri Valley shot 47.3% from the field but went 16 of 28 at the free-throw line.
With the win, Northeastern State improved to 7-4 on the season. The RiverHawks return to action on Dec. 21 at 4 p.m. when they re-open MIAA play against Missouri Southern.
