TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State Softball made a pair of late adjustments to its schedule due to weather. The RiverHawks (4-4) will see Southern Nazarene on Friday afternoon for a doubleheader at Piedmont High School before playing at Arkansas Tech on Sunday.
Northeastern State is batting .351 through their first eight games and won three of their four in Bentonville. Brynn Burchfield paces NSU with a .429 average at the plate and Madison Heinle has eight RBI in the previous four contests.
Sunday's games were moved from Shawnee to Russellville, Arkansas with the RiverHawks playing a double with ATU. The meeting at Arkansas Tech is the first since 2015.
