TAHLEQUAH— Northeastern State baseball is at Rousey Field this week, hosting a non-conference foe Oklahoma Baptist (Tuesday at 5 p.m.) and MIAA opponent Washburn (Friday and Saturday at 5 p.m., Sunday at 1 p.m.).
The RiverHawks (8-9, 5-4 MIAA) went back over .500 on their league record with two wins last weekend over Missouri Western in St. Joseph, Mo.
Key Players to Watch:

Gage Williams scored five runs last weekend and had a three-hit, four-RBI performance with a homer in the first game of the series in a 7-5 win over the Griffons.

Austin Rees landed three RBI with three base hits and two runs scored on Sunday.

Braxton Jones had another solid start on Saturday in game two of the series against MWSU, lasting seven innings with eight strikeouts and only two walks and one earned run against the Griffons. Jones holds the fourth-lowest ERA among regular starting pitchers in the MIAA (3.13) and also sits fourth in strikeouts (39).
NSU's Tuesday opponent, Oklahoma Baptist, enters the week with a 14-6 record overall. The team has won four straight and holds a combined 5-5 record on away and neutral ground. They previously defeated NSU in a 13-5 decision on Feb. 3 and have won the last three in the series, which dates back to 1948 and has seen 94 total games play (OBU leads, 66-28).
The weekend series places NSU against Washburn, an MIAA foe that is 10-8 entering the week with a 5-3 record inside of conference play. The Ichabods are a combined 4-7 in away and neutral territory and most recently took a series loss in Topeka to Northwest Missouri. The series between the teams is even at 19 games each, while the Ichabods have won the last three.
