Women's Tennis travels to clash with Arkansas Tech in non-conference action

TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State Women's Tennis returns to regular season action on Thursday afternoon, facing Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark. at 12 p.m.

It marks the third straight regular season matchup against an opponent from the Great American Conference (GAC) for the RiverHawks (2-5), as well as their fourth date overall on the spring against a GAC foe. 

Tegan Heaton is ranked No. 71 nationally in singles and enters the week with three consecutive singles victories. Sofia Kotliarova and Annika Kleinhans have earned singles victories in two of their last three regular season matchups, while the doubles duo of Kotliarova and Kleinhans have won three straight.  

Arkansas Tech (3-5) is in Arkadelphia, Ark. on Tuesday to battle against Henderson State before hosting NSU on Thursday. The Golden Suns have won two straight against non-Division II opponents and will face their first foes this week inside the DII ranks since Nebraska Kearney on Mar. 1. 

The RiverHawks return to conference play on Mar. 25, hosting Arkansas-Fort Smith in Tahlequah at 2 p.m.
