LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – Northeastern State wrapped up play at the SMSU Classic on Tuesday, finishing tenth after carding a two-round total of 659 (326-333) at Wigwam Resort.
The RiverHawks couldn't gain ground on the leaderboard in the final round, with all five golfers shooting above 80. Senior Sam Maceli led NSU on day two, firing an 81 to climb 16 spots and finish tied for 33rd overall with a 165 total.
Ines Diaz was NSU's top finisher, placing 18th with a 161 (79-82). Jessica Parker matched Maceli on the leaderboard, shooting rounds of 81 and 84 to also finish at 165. Laia Llorens turned in a 168 (82-86), while Chloe Williamson rounded out the RiverHawks' lineup with a 192 (93-99).
Westminster (Utah) claimed the team title with a 638, edging Minnesota State by two strokes.
Northeastern State will take a week off before concluding its regular season at the NSIC Preview, set for March 31 in Smithville, Missouri.
