TAHLEQUAH— Northeastern State softball wraps up a three-date, six-game homestand by taking on Southeastern Oklahoma State in non-conference action at RiverHawks Park on Tuesday (2/4 p.m.).

The RiverHawks (11-25, 5-11 MIAA) claimed their first true home win of the season last Friday night by defeating Central Missouri in a 2-0 victory. It marked the second straight season with a split at home against the Jennies after UCM claimed the early game. NSU would go on to drop two contests to Missouri Southern on Saturday.

Key Players to Watch:

- Madison Heinle tossed a complete game shutout against UCM on Friday, marking the fifth time the senior has gone the distance inside the circle this season. Heinle enters the week two strikeouts away from 300 across her NSU career, which would make her the first individual to reach the milestone since Gail Young, who did so in 2021 and played for the program from 2018-22.
- Korynn Tindel homered and accounted for the go-ahead hit in Friday's win over UCM. Tindel would later triple in Saturday's late game against MSSU and collected four hits across the last three games of the week. The redshirt sophomore has ten extra base hits entering the week and 17 stolen bases, the most for an NSU individual in a single season since Madison Reed (21) in 2014.
- Maddie Messenger picked up three base hits in the MSSU doubleheader on Saturday at RiverHawks Park. She enters the week with the team lead among regulars in hits (38), batting average (.362), doubles (ten), home runs (four), RBI (22), walks drawn (13), slugging percentage (.571) and on-base percentage (.437). Messenger is also the only NSU player to appear and start in all 36 games.

Tuesday marks a return trip for Southeastern Oklahoma State (18-19) after the Storm swept NSU across a doubleheader on Feb. 17 in Durant. The RiverHawks were held to just two runs across the day, while Madison Heinle accounted for four of the team's eight base hits during the doubleheader. Maddie Messenger homered in the late game after doubling in the opening matchup. Southeastern enters the week with an even split across their last eight contests, though the Storm have collected ranked wins over Harding and Central Oklahoma in that span.
