SMITHVILLE, Mo. -- Jessica Parker carried Northeastern State to a tie for sixth place after the opening round of the NSIC Preview on Saturday, shooting a 76.

The junior recorded a tournament-high 14 pars and is tied for eighth place at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex.

The RiverHawks posted a team score of 320 and are tied with Rockhurst on the 13-team leaderboard.

Ines Diaz and Sam Maceli are tied for 26th place after shooting 81. Laia Llorens was one stroke back in 34th place, while Fernanda Rendon Bermudez shot an 87 and is in 62nd.

Augustana leads the field with a 305 and holds a two-stroke advantage over Wayne State (Neb.).

The RiverHawks will return to the course Tuesday for the final round
