TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State dropped a tough 5-2 decision to Central Oklahoma on Thursday afternoon at the NSU Tennis Courts in a key Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association match.
The RiverHawks (5-10, 3-3 MIAA) fell behind early as the visiting Bronchos swept all three doubles courts to take the early point.

Tegan Heaton delivered a strong performance for the RiverHawks at No. 1, defeating Pete Komada in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5.
Sofia Kotliarova added NSU's second point with a retirement victory over Ayaka Koga at No. 3.
However, both points were after Central Oklahoma (8-5, 4-2 MIAA) claimed wins in four singles matches to seal the team victory.
NSU returns to action on Friday to host Newman at 9 a.m.
