Heinle Leads Trio of NSU Standouts on All-MIAA Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three Northeastern State softball student-athletes were recognized Tuesday by the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association for their performances during the 2025 season.

Madison Heinle, a four-year letterwinner from Rogers, Arkansas, led the honors with a second-team selection. She started 15 games in the circle and appeared in 45 overall. Heinle concluded her NSU career with 303 strikeouts and earned her second All-MIAA accolade.

For the second straight season, Maddie Messenger received All-MIAA honorable mention. She ranked second on the team in batting average and was the only player to start all 48 games this season.

Korynn Tindel also earned honorable mention honors at shortstop, becoming the first NSU player named to the position since 2018. She led the RiverHawks in stolen bases (19), home runs (6) and triples (5).
