TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State is set to begin a brief MIAA road trip, facing Fort Hays State (Sunday, 1/3 p.m.) and Nebraska Kearney (Monday, 1/3 p.m.) away from Tahlequah.

The RiverHawks (12-26, 5-11 MIAA) split with Southeastern Oklahoma State on Tuesday, earning their second home win of the season in the process.

Key Players to Watch:

- Korynn Tindel tossed a complete game shutout in the circle in game one of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Storm and fell a single short of the cycle across both games after logging a double, triple and homer from the top of the order. The redshirt sophomore is second on the team in extra base hits (13) and home runs (three).
- Maddie Messenger logged a two-hit performance against Southeastern Oklahoma State on Tuesday and recorded a combined four base hits across last season's contests against FHSU and UNK.
- Drew Hawkins looks to repeat last season's success against the Lopers after putting together a three-hit performance in game one of 2024's doubleheader in Broken Arrow, Okla. Hawkins additionally stole three bases across the two-game slate against UNK.

Fort Hays State enters the weekend at 21-9 overall and 6-4 in conference play. The Tigers have dropped three of their last four on the road but are 9-1 on the campaign in true home games. FHSU leads the all-time series by two games (14-12) against NSU. Across 2025, the Tigers are tied for the fifth-highest batting average in the MIAA (.305), but rank 12th in runs scored (146) and tenth in home runs (11). The Tigers are in the middle of the conference in ERA (3.04), ranking seventh, while the pitching staff is tied for fifth in strikeouts (190).

The Lopers (18-17, 4-6 MIAA) enter Sunday's doubleheader against Rogers State with losses in three of their last five and an even home record at 5-5. The RiverHawks collected a pair of wins in last season's doubleheader against UNK in Broken Arrow and have won seven straight and 17 of 23 in the all-time series. The Lopers are 11th in the MIAA in batting average (.258) and tenth in runs scored (152), while they sit in 12th for home runs (eight). The pitching staff owns the third-highest ERA (3.92) in the conference, while the Lopers have struck out the third-fewest batters (120) and have surrendered the most triples (11) in the association.
